For Museum Night Fever, the BELvue invites you to make your voice heard and take an active part in society! Discover the museum of Belgium and its history from a different perspective: get your hands into clay and help create a collective artwork with many faces, be surprised by multilingual improvisation, vote for your favourite photograph, and enjoy live concerts by inspiring artists. And there is more! Enjoy the cosy bar for good talks, an electrifying DJ set to keep you dancing into the night, in short all the ingredients for a festive, creative evening where everyone has a place!
Programme
Permanent exhibition: Belgium and its history
Everyone knows about Belgium’s quirks. Or do they? The permanent exhibition invites you to explore today’s Belgium and its history through seven key themes: democracy, prosperity, solidarity, pluralism, migration, language and Europe. From the country's democratic structure to its social security system, from ethical questions to economic development, from migration to multilingualism, from colonization to Europe – by the end of your visit, Belgium will hold no more secrets for you. Don’t miss the gallery either: more than 200 Belgian objects showcase the country’s many facets. A football, a motorbike, a saxophone, even Christmas baubles – a true explosion of “Belgitude”!

Performance: Babel Impro Pop-up
For Museum Night Fever, the company Atlas – impros du monde Bruxelles takes over the museum with multilingual improvisational theatre. In every corner of the exhibition, performers create unique and surprising stories on the spot, inspired by the collection, your ideas, and spontaneous interactions along the way. From French and Dutch to English, Spanish, Italian, Moroccan and German, you don’t need to be a polyglot to get swept up in the experience! Expect a funny, poetic and intercultural experience where emotions speak louder than words.

Workshop & Installation: Shaping Voices
What if everyone had a place in the bigger picture of society? Come and sculpt your own little clay head and take part in the collective creation of a people with a thousand faces. As the evening unfolds, each participant’s creation is brought together to form a living artwork, where every voice matters, also those that are heard less often. Together with Mirthe Dokter/Pollif Projects, you will shape the material, let your imagination run free, and contribute to a collective installation that extends the artwork The People of Introverts.

Concerts & DJ set
With a programme curated by Aperohit, discover the rising talents of the Belgian music scene! Throughout the evening, the Atrium comes alive with live performances and a DJ set blending afrobeat, hip-hop, soul, R&B, pop and amapiano. These intersecting styles bring together a rich diversity of voices and influences, echoing the pluralism that lies at the heart of our democratic society. An evening of dancing, musical discoveries and shared celebration, where everyone can find their place on the dance floor.
