With the Invisible Stories educational toolbox, we invite you and your students to explore the themes of migration and multiculturalism in an accessible way. The online toolbox offers four ready-to-use lessons, packed with interactive classroom activities and infographics about hidden migration stories. This helps students gain a deeper understanding of the topic and learn to discuss it critically and openly.
Because these are cross-curricular themes, the materials are suitable for teachers of history, geography, citizenship, and social sciences – and for anyone who wants to bring the topic of migration into the classroom. The toolbox is available in five languages: Dutch, French, English, Spanish, and Polish.
The toolbox includes four lessons, each with its own focus:
This educational toolbox was developed as part of the Invisible Stories project by the School with Class Foundation (Poland), in collaboration with Asociación Smilemundo (Spain) and the King Baudouin Foundation (Belgium). The project was made possible with financial support from the European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme.
The first phase involved research by teachers, experts, and academics from Belgium, Spain, and Poland. Based on their report, the second phase focused on developing the toolbox, which was piloted in November 2025.
